Former Gen. Qasem Soleimani (Iranian Project)
Assassinated Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani’s daughter has condemned outgoing US President Donald Trump and incoming President-elect Joe Biden in equal terms.
“There’s no difference between Biden and Trump, they are the same guy,” Zaynab Soleimani said during an interview on Wednesday with RT’s “Going Underground”. “They are following the same policy, there is no difference between them. Trump ordered the killing of my father, but Biden supported that, so there’s no difference.”
In a statement tweeted on January 2, Biden said “no American will mourn Qassem Soleimani’s passing. He deserved to be brought to justice for his crimes against American troops and thousands of innocents throughout the region. He supported terror and sowed chaos.”

The single main story of the year has without a doubt been the coronavirus pandemic which has thus far claimed over 1.5 million lives around the world amid encouraging news about vaccine development. However it is now easy to forget that before this story became a near permanent fixture of daily international news, the year kicked off with a major escalation in the decades-long hostilities between the US and Iran with the assassination on 3 January at Baghdad International Airport of Iran s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force head, Major General Qassem Soleimani.
