Malik takes notice of oil Cos’ billions of rupees’ corruption National December 17, 2020 ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Interior Chairman Senator Abdul Rehman Malik on Wednesday took notice of billions of rupees corruption by the oil marketing companies (OMCs), unearthed by FIA through its inquiry commission on oil crisis. He has directed the Ministry of Interior to coordinate with FIA and all stakeholders for their comments on the multiple illegal acts in oil sector to point out the reasons for the failure of the authorities to protect the interest of the state and present a detailed report on it within seven days for discussion in the next meeting of the committee.

One hundred and forty seven Students, teachers and staff were martyred in the terrorist attack on Army Public School in Peshawar on December 16, 2014. In the provincial capital, a contingent of the army presented a salute to the memorial of martyrs early in the day. The main event was held at the Shuhada-e-APS Public library, which was attended by parents. The speakers on the occasion condemned the brutal act.

The district administration organized a ceremony at the District Council Hall to commemorate the anniversary of the carnage.

He had been left badly injured in the attack. Six years down the lane, he still remembers those fateful days. Waleed had been hit on face by six bullets, disfiguring him beyond recognition and smashing his jaws. He was unable to close his mouth due to a fractured jaw. Even his parents were unable to recognize the class 9 student despite searching the hospital for hours and hours where he was lying unconscious in an isolated corner attended silently by the doctors and paramedics.
