Unidentified planes hit pro-Iran militia sites in Iraq

Unidentified planes struck on Tuesday night the Jurf Sakhar area, north of the Iraqi province of Babylon, held by Iran-backed Kata ib Hezbollah militias, killing six militiamen, media outlets reported.
There was no information about casualties among the Iraqi army forces present in the area.
However, later on Tuesday, the Iraqi government s Security Media Cell said the explosions reported north of Babylon early on Tuesday morning were Daesh attacks on several electric pylons in the area and not air strikes.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps conducted the Great Prophet 15 drill, which included the launching of several ballistic missiles, as reported by Channel 1 (Iran). Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, General Hossein Salami was present at the drill, as was the commander of the IRGC aerospace force, General Amir-Ali Hajizdeh, who said that the Iranian missiles render the naval power of the enemy insufficient in a radius of 2,000 kilometers. Ghadr-F, Emad, and Sijjil missiles were launched in the drill.

An unverified audio message was received at multiple air traffic controllers in New York, warning of a terror attack on the Capitol building on Wednesday when the US Congress meets to confirm Joe Biden as the President.

Lebanese erupted in fury online yesterday after a statue of assassinated Iranian General Qassem Soleimani appeared in Beirut.
The effigy was unveiled on the anniversary of Soleimani s death in the Hezbollah stronghold of Ghobeiry in southern Beirut.
Soleimani, the former head of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), was killed in a US drone strike in Iraq on 3 January last year.
Several images of Soleimani have appeared on boards in the Hezbollah-dominated districts of Beirut and southern Lebanon in recent weeks to commemorate the anniversary of his death.
