The pandemic has so far claimed 74,524 lives in Iran, up by 283 in the past 24 hours, the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education said in a written briefing published on its official website. A total of 2,092,381 people have recovered from the disease or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 5,545 remain in intensive care units, the ministry said. The report added that 16,929,609 tests have so far been carried out across the country. As of Saturday, 1,286,004 people in the country have received coronavirus vaccines, with 262,611 of them having gotten their second doses.
