Felano announces run for Erie County sheriff, promising to not enforce gun, lockdown laws

WBFO s Tom Dinki reports. “I ve asked for formal, non-enforcement policies that are publicized regarding the various disarmament edicts at play in New York state, and that never happened,” Felano said. “So he takes baby steps towards some of these things, but just doesn t go far enough to have any real impact.” On Wednesday, Felano announced he’s seeking the Republican Party nomination for Erie County sheriff to replace Howard, a Republican who is not expected to seek reelection in 2021. Felano, 35, is the founder of Second Amendment group 2ANYS and has been active in recent months protesting Cuomo’s shutdown order and other COVID-19 restrictions.

Indiana Man Arrested in Depew With Multiple Semi-Automatic Weapon

The 28-year-old man from Gary, Indiana was arrested and charged with a total of 21 counts including 5 counts of criminal possession of a weapon second degree, which is a felony. Additionally, after officers completed a further review of Mr. Coston s record, they also determined that he had a felony conviction from the state of Illinois. Mr. Coston is due in court later this week and is currently being held in the Erie County Holding Center.

(WKBW) — An Indiana man is facing multiple weapons charges following a commercial vehicle inspection on the New York State Thruway Monday. New York State police say a tractor trailer operated by 28-year-old Zayne R. Coston of Gary, IN was directed into the Depew Tandem Lot at exit 49 on the I-90 around 12:30 p.m. Monday. According to police there was probable cause to search his vehicle. Officials say troopers discovered: Four semi-automatic handguns (three of which were loaded)

Springville man charged with felony manslaughter after victim dies from injuries suffered during alleged assault

Updated: 3:01 PM EST December 10, 2020 SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. A 22-year-old Springville man is facing a felony manslaughter charge following the death of another resident. The Erie County Sheriff s Office got calls of an unresponsive man suffering from an apparent head injury lying along Greenwood Place in the village in the overnight hours of December 7.  Patrick Flynn, 43, was taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital before being transferred to Erie County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries later that day. The District Attorney s office says the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.  An investigation over the next several days led to the arrest Tyler Rehrauer, 22. The DA s office says the alleged physical altercation occurred at around 2:20 a.m. that Monday, in front of Rehrauer s residence.
