Heritage campaigners have slammed plans by Pilbrow and Partners to demolish and rebuild Marks and Spencer s largest store near London s Marble Arch
Plans were revealed this week to flatten the six-storey 1930s Orchard House at the western end of Oxford Street and replace it with a 10-storey mixed-used scheme.

The proposals, which are currently out to consultation, would see the amount of retail space on the site reduce from five floors to two and a half, with the remainder of the new building given over to ‘Grade A sustainable office space on the upper levels’.
