An ogre is said to be taking over the Mort Glosser Amphitheatre in Gadsden, through song and dance, starting on Friday.
CharACTers Inc. is presenting “Shrek the Musical” Friday through Sunday and May 14-16. All productions will begin at 7 p.m.
This will be the company’s first full-fledged musical since the shutdown of many local theater and Broadway productions last March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are staging Shrek because we felt that families needed something they could enjoy and laugh together over the year we have all had,” said Cody Carlton, president and executive artistic director of CharACTers.
