The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) have forged an agreement to provide assistance and protection to lawyers and judiciary members who are threatened in the performance of their duties and functions.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, June 29, the NBI said the bureau and the IBP have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) last June 25 “in an effort to protect the members of the legal profession and judiciary.”

The MOA was signed by NBI Officer-in-Charge Director Eric B. Distor and IBP President Domingo Egon Q. Cayosa.
