He came to Iceland to see it and caught a photo of it where the northern lights appear to rise from the volcano. He has already been to the eruption site six times - once by helicopter, five times on foot. On his back, he carries no less than 11 kg (24 lbs) of photographic equipment, and he admits his knees and legs have started complaining.

The facility, Coda Terminal, will receive CO2 from Northern Europe by ship. It is expected to create 600 jobs – directly and indirectly. “The CO 2 will be sourced from industrial emitters in Northern Europe and will be injected into the basaltic bedrock where it rapidly turns into stone via the Carbfix technology,” a statement from Carbfix reads. “At full scale, the Coda Terminal will provide an annual storage amounting to three million tonnes of CO

Morgunblaðið/Ómar Vala Hafstað Alþingi, the Icelandic parliament, approved an amendment to disease prevention laws yesterday morning, granting the minister of health permission to obligate travelers arriving from high-risk COVID-19 areas to stay at a quarantine hotel or in isolation at a quarantine facility when they arrive in Iceland, Morgunblaðið reports. The amendment was passed with 22 votes against two. Twenty-two MPs abstained and 11 were absent. The chief epidemiologist may, however, provide exemptions to travelers able to show that their private facilities fulfill all requirements for quarantine. An application for such an exemption must be turned in two days prior to arrival.

The photos were processed in Agisoft Metashape. The project was done in collaboration with the Civil Protection and Emergency Management of Iceland, The National Land Survey of Iceland and the University of Iceland. See for yourself.
