Amber Hampshire pleaded guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter in early October. In exchange for her plea, a count of endangering the life and health of a child was dropped. She has been free on bail since the plea was accepted. Sentencing has been delayed several times and is now set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 11 in the Madison County Criminal Justice Center before Circuit Judge Kyle Napp.

The filings also provide additional information about the incidents that led to the seizures. Paperwork to seize the vehicles and cash were filed April 29, and orders finding probable cause were also signed that day. Both cases started with traffic stops by Illinois State Police troopers taken over by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois.
