Housing Authority promotes wellness Special to McDonough County Voice, USA TODAY NETWORK MACOMB Director Annette Carper said this week that the Housing Authority of McDonough County has received $155,625 in federal CARES funding for COVID-19 prevention and other wellness activities. She said half the money has been spent on constructing physical barriers, buying personal protective equipment, purchasing cleaning supplies and disinfectants, and buying equipment and postage to allow people to work from home. Carper said, The Housing Authority will have a comprehensive health fair at each property in July and August: July 16 at Prairieview.July 30 at Eisenhower Tower in Macomb, and August 6 at Greenbrier Apartments in Bushnell. She said each fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public. There are 30 social service agencies scheduled to attend.
