Madison County Health Department officials reported a woman in her 70s and a man in his 80s have become the 505th and 506th COVID-19 victims in the county. On Tuesday there also were two COVID-19 patients in Madison County hospitals. Since the start of the pandemic, the county has recorded 30,516 confirmed and probable cases, including 19 recorded on Tuesday.The county also has recorded 341,267 COVID-19 tests. As of Tuesday, 212,169 Madison County residents roughly 80% had received at least one vaccine dose, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. A total of 107,829 county residents or 40.77% are fully vaccinated.
