After three years of steady growth, the Quad Cities Yoga Foundation, founded by alumni from Western Illinois University’s School of Education, is seeking to grow their professional development and yoga in classrooms services in the Quad Cities for those who would benefit from yoga, and have the need for the services such as those exiting jails, drug rehabilitation centers, and those who cannot afford to pay for yoga classes.

Nathan A. Henson, 36, was charged in connection with the 2017 death of his pregnant wife, Jessie.
He initially was found in October 2019 to be neither fit nor not guilty by reason of mental insanity.
Henson appealed that decision and a state’s expert concurred with a defense expert that Henson was not guilty by reason of mental insanity, State’s Attorney Gray Noll said. After the state’s expert’s report was submitted, the judge overturned his original ruling and in April found Henson not guilty by reason of mental insanity.
