EDWARDSVILLE As discussed earlier this year, the city has been planning to refund fees it assesses for Class B, C and G2 liquor license holders for the 2020 calendar year that are still selling or serving alcohol as of Dec 15, the anticipated date of the related resolution’s passage.
The finance committee discussed and voted in favor of the resolution at its Tuesday meeting. Finance Director Jeanne Wojcieszak said the total amount refunded is $40,000. The exception is any such establishment found liable for city ordinance violations in 2020.
