GRANTS PASS, Ore. Josephine County Public Health is planning several COVID-19 vaccination clinics. On both Sunday and Monday, people in phase 1-A and educators can go to the Josephine County Fairgrounds in Grants Pass to get vaccinated. From 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Asante and the Oregon National Guard will help distribute vaccines to eligible local residents.
You can find the link to register on Asante’s website. It hoped to provide at least 3,000 doses of the vaccine.
As for the Tuesday clinic in Cave Junction at Illinois Valley High School, the plans are still in the works and there is no registration link just yet.
MEDFORD, Ore. – Jackson and Josephine Counties are holding their first vaccine clinics later this week. They’re both partnering with Asante and the National Guard to make it possible.
Jackson County Public Health has made it clear only people in Phase 1A can get vaccinated for this specific clinic. However, Josephine Co. Public Health is opening its clinic to educators on top of people in Phase 1A.
With the COVID-19 pandemic in its 10th month, public health officials are days away from holding their first vaccination clinics.
“This is vital, we recognize for our community to move on we need to get as much vaccine out as possible,” said Holly Nickerson, Vice President of Quality and Safety for Asante.
Jackson County will open a mass COVID-19 vaccination site this week. So will Josephine County. Now that the state will be receiving less vaccine than initially planned, fewer people will be eligible to receive the shots.
