2 in Lake Shore Drive crash had been shot, 1 fatally Katherine Rosenberg-Douglas, Chicago Tribune Two of three men who were in a car crash early Tuesday on Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast had been shot, one of them fatally, according to Chicago police. Officers were called about 12:45 a.m. to the 1100 block of North Lake Shore Drive, where a silver Nissan Sentra had struck a light post from a northbound lane, police said in a media notification. Three men were found inside the Sentra, two of them with gunshot wounds. A 32-year-old man had two gunshot wounds to his torso, police said. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead.
