Police said Clark, 32, was struck after running a red light in the city’s Avondale neighborhood. Clark was riding east on Logan Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle heading south on Western Avenue, a witness and the driver both told responding officers, according to a Chicago Police Department crash report.
Authorities say emergency responders found Clark partially under the car. Clark was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Authorities say the 20-year-old woman driving the car was issued several citations, but didn’t give additional information.

Clark was hit by a car while riding his bike along North Western Avenue, Chicago in the early hours of Wednesday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after 2am.
The newspaper described the intersection as “notoriously dangerous”. Police said the 20-year-old driver of the vehicle was not arrested, but issued citations.
Clark grew up in the Highland Park area of Illinois, where he learned to play the drums as a five-year-old. “He loved music,” said Allison Clark of her son, who could also play violin, guitar and piano. “He’s just a raw talent. He’s got a heart of gold.”

School of Rock has died at age 32 after being fatally struck by a motorist while riding a bicycle in Chicago, Illinois.
Police said Clark was riding a bike early on Wednesday around 1:20 a.m. when he was fatally struck by a Hyundai Sonata at a notoriously dangerous intersection on the Northwest Side, according to a report by
the Chicago Sun-Times.
The Chicago Fire Department and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said paramedics found Clark on Logan Boulevard and took him to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m.
