By Sarah Mansur Capitol News Illinois smansur@capitolnewsillinois.com SPRINGFIELD Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul joined onto a legal brief, along with a coalition of 22 other Democratic attorneys general, that is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reject a lawsuit brought by the Texas Attorney General seeking to overturn the presidential election results in four states won by President-elect Joe Biden. On Friday evening, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up Texas’ lawsuit, issuing a one sentence order. “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections,” the order states.
