Why Rivian Would Want To Go Public

Mark Lennihan / AP The electric automaker Rivian already has raised billions of dollars from the likes of Amazon and Ford. Why would it want to go public? That’s the big question from a Bloomberg report that Rivian is talking to bankers about doing an initial public offering, or IPO, as soon as September. The IPO would value Rivian at about $50 billion and perhaps more, according to Bloomberg. WGLT has not been able to independently confirm Rivian’s IPO plans; a company spokesperson declined to comment on the report. There are upsides and downsides for a young company like Rivian going public.

Carol attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, and graduated in 1975 with a B.A. Degree in English, and a minor in French. She then spent the next few years living in Germany, where she variously worked as a health spa attendant in Bad Feilnbach and as an au pair in the town of Wolfratshausen, a suburb of Munich. Thank the Veterans who served in The United States Armed Forces.   Armed Forces Today!    The Four Chaplains, also sometimes referred to as the Immortal Chaplains or the Dorchester Chaplains were four United States Army chaplains who gave their lives to save other civilian and military personnel as the troop ship USAT Dorchester sank on February 3, 1943, during World War II. They helped other soldiers board lifeboats and gave up their own life jackets when the supply ran out. The chaplains joined arms, said prayers, and sang hymns as they went down with the ship.
