The bread = Impact.
impact on a person, organization, or entity. What are some examples? You took the
initiative to increase membership, lead a team to victory, build a coalition in student government, increase sales, cut costs, or find a solution to a problem that enabled a critical deal to go forward.
Impact and initiative are the two critical qualities to keep in mind when you assess whether your achievements belong in a greatest accomplishment essay.
How about if you won an award? Does that count? It depends. If you are asked to write about a personal achievement, then if you won an award for a published story, an athletic competition, or some other “personal best,” those would be excellent choices. More often, however, you will be asked to write about a significant achievement with impact beyond your own personal growth. In these situations, an award might result from an achievement, either academic or professional, and that endeavor is likely to be more important

Canadian food policy analyst and writer Wayne Roberts died on Jan. 20 at the age of 76 after battling leukemia, leaving behind his wife and children, but also a legacy of advocacy rooted in food security.
Roberts was highly respected for his work in food policy and his role as manager of the Toronto Food Policy Council from 2000 to 2010 where the Toronto Food Charter was developed under his leadership.

In 2019, when the artist Gary Hume was having a show in New York, he asked his gallery, Matthew Marks, to ship his work from London by sea rather than fly it by air. He also asked the environmentalist Danny Chivers to write a report on the journey. Hume wanted to know what impact shipping his work would have on the journey’s carbon emissions.
It took 13 days for his work to arrive by boat to New York from London, 12 and a half days longer than the usual plane ride. Chivers’s report, published in partnership with logistics company Cadogan Tate, revealed that the carbon footprint created by moving the artworks by sea was 96 percent lower than if they’d been flown by plane, creating 24 metric tonnes of greenhouse gas savings.

Have you ever taken a ski lesson, golf lesson or something similar? Usually they start out with the instructor asking about your goals for the session and what you want to get out of your lessons, that sort of thing.
In a weekend ski camp once, our coach had the four of us students stop at the top of the hill, and then pleasantly surprised us all by saying, Before we start, take a minute now and think about three things for which you are grateful.
That’s not a big challenge when you’re standing at the top of a mountain looking 176 km east to Mount Revelstoke and 165 km south to Big White and seeing them both.
