The pandemic forced summer camps to slow down in 2020, but this year they are preparing for plenty of games, activities and outdoor fun, along with some COVID-19 safety protocols.
Here is a look at some of this year s Memphis-area summer camps.
Camp GTOWN

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Pink Palace Museum of Science & History added a new addition to its exhibit.
The exhibit at the museum takes visitors on a journey along the Underground Railroad.
Through Darkness to Light: Photographs Along the Underground Railroad, expose a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early to mid-19th century, and used by enslaved African-Americans primarily to escape into free states and Canada.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. The Museum of Science & History the Pink Palace debuted their Dinosaurs in Motion exhibit Saturday afternoon.
Dinosaurs in Motion is an interactive experience built for visitors of all ages.
The science-driven exhibit engages and educates visitors with 14 magnificent, fully interactive recycled metal dinosaur sculptures.
The sculptures feature exposed mechanics inspired by actual fossils. There are two parts of the exhibit. One is about the science of dinosaurs, and the other part is about the sculptor and making kinetic sculptures, said Steve Masler, manager of the exhibits. So, there are examples upstairs of how the wires work and what type of wires need to be used.
