southeastasiawomen.org has opened applications for the third cohort of women experts to be profiled on its platform until April 30.
Women of all ages and with clear examples of achievement in their respective professions from all 10 Asean member countries plus Timor-Leste are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should also be open to speaking, mentoring and opportunities for collaboration. The application form is available on

Showcasing accomplished women from a range of industries, the platform aims to promote the exceptional pool of female talent in the region and to cultivate a culture of cross-border collaboration between women in Southeast Asia.
February 24, 2021 PASIG City Mayor Vico Sotto has been selected as one of 12 global anti-corruption champions by the United States Department of State.
Sotto, 31, was cited for his commitment to transparency initiatives both as a Pasig city councilor and as mayor.
As a Pasig City councilor in 2018, Sotto spent a month at the Des Moines Public Information Board in Des Moines, Iowa, as part of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Professional Fellows Program in the United States.
“He used this experience to help him design and pass Pasig’s first freedom of information legislation when he returned to the Philippines,” the US Embassy in the Philippines said in a statement.

YSEALI Marine Accelerator Program: Connect with Innovators and Experts

The
Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Marine Accelerator Program (MAP) has been launched to advance the capacity of emerging conservation leaders and influencers from
Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam to scale up or expand initiatives that improve regional cooperation and address maritime and inland waterway issues, such as illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; river or marine ecosystem degradation; or marine debris.
Successful applicants to the YSEALI MAP will attend one virtual workshop in April and one in May, and an intensive in-person workshop in the Philippines in June. Participants will also get a chance to receive up to $2,000 in project grants to scale up and sustain their initiatives. HCM City to provide all public services online at level 4 by 2030

Ho Chi Minh City has set a target to provide 100 percent of public services online at level 4 by 2030. Level 4 is the highest level of online public services, which allows users to fill and submit forms, and pay fees online.
In the first quarter of 2020, Ho Chi Minh City s authorities provided 668 online public administrative services at levels 3 and 4 in various fields, and more than 80 percent of local residents and organisations said they were satisfied with the services.
According to the city’s Department of Home Affairs, district and commune-level administrative units handled more than 84 million documents online in the last five years.
