Sialkot Business Council launched

LAHORE: The Sialkot Business Council (SBC) has been launched as a business policy advocacy and execution platform by the 13 largest private-sector institutions, industrial and export-oriented associations, a statement said on Thursday.
This will pave the way for the quick and speedy establishment of Allama Iqbal Business Park in Sialkot announced by the prime minister in his recent visit to the city, besides doubling exports in the short-term, it added.
The SBC will be a professionally-run organisation headed and assisted by a full-time convener and secretary, who will work closely with the relevant provincial and federal governments’ departments, ministries, regulators and other organisations and professional bodies to explore the new venture of industrialisation in Sialkot.

Those from within the party entrusted informally with the responsibility of pushing the government’s narrative form a semi-official group of spokespersons who have a regular debriefing session with the prime minister on a fairly regular basis. Most of them are not notified as official spokespersons for the government or the party.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said democracy will only work in the country if a national dialogue is held between the government and the opposition.
The premier said the constitutional way to send a government packing is to table a no-confidence motion in the Parliament and dared the opposition to do so. If the opposition seeks to move a no-confidence motion, they should come and do so in the assemblies, he said, criticising the call for mass resignations from assemblies by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
