I cannot wait : RuPaul and Michelle Visage to judge Drag Race Down Under – in New Zealand

I cannot wait : RuPaul and Michelle Visage to judge Drag Race Down Under – in New Zealand Alyx Gorman Global drag sensation RuPaul will host and judge the anticipated Australian edition of his hit reality competition Drag Race, streaming platform Stan has announced. Longtime Drag Race co-star Michelle Visage will also join as a judge on the season, which begins filming in New Zealand this week and airs later this year. Of Drag Race’s seven international franchises, the Down Under edition is only the second – after Drag Race UK – to be judged by two of the American production’s original cast members.

Drag Race UK fans join in with hometown challenge and results are brutal

Bimini s Norwich look was not a popular choice. Maybe she should have dressed as Alan Partridge? (BBC) In the long-awaited RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season two opener, the 12 brand-new queens were asked to rock a look inspired by their hometown as part of the episode’s maxi challenge. Bimini Bon Boulash, from Norwich, ended up lip-syncing for her life after choosing a very eye-opening take on the Norwich FC kit, with Graham Norton archly proclaiming that club owner Delia Smith might not be too delighted with her crotch-flossing outfit. Another queen who fell foul of the judges was Brighton’s Joe Black, whose regal take on Brighton Pavilion was slated for – well, we’re still not sure, to be honest. After the episode, people united to rage about the fact they thought Joe was robbed.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under to sashay onto our screens this year RuPaul and Michelle Visage are headed to Australia and New Zealand for the latest Drag Race spin-off. Drag Race Down Under will sashay onto our screens later this year, where it will be available to watch on Stan, TVNZ OnDemand and WOW Presents Plus. In a statement, Mama Ru said she cannot wait “for everyone to see that Down Under queens have some of the biggest charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talents in the world.” She continued: “Thank you to Stan and TVNZ OnDemand for providing a platform for these outrageous drag artists to share their heart, soul and humor.”

RuPaul s Drag Race S13E3 Recap: Welcome To The Stage, Déjà Ru

If you don’t stan, I don’t underSTANd you! Please continue reading for more jokes :) As for the vamp looks, there’s no competition: Rosé comes out in a homage to the social media panopticon, where tech giants watch our very click. “Honey, if I’m gonna be watched by Tim Apple, I’m gonna give him something to look at, girl!” Next up, the queens have to put together a performance of a song featured in RuPaul’s Drag Race Vegas Live!, which is apparently going ahead in August 2021. Sure! In the werkroom, the conversation centres around Tamisha for most of the episode, and for good reason: she’s the moment, and has been the moment for thirty years. She has won 95 pageants! 95!  She has three kids! She recovered from cancer to get on the show! She makes all of her outfits! Her skin! Her legendary drag children (here’s the Tandi Iman Dupree video, if you haven’t seen it)! I’m obsessed, and you should be too.

Vegan Drag Queen Bimini Bon-Boulash Competes on RuPaul s Drag Race UK

Spoiler alert for episode one of RuPaul‘s Drag Race UK season two Bon-Boulash, who also describes herself as “East London’s bendiest bitch,” narrowly escaped elimination from the competition in the first episode, after being named one of the bottom two performers of the week and winning a lip-synch to “Relax” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood against contestant Joe Black.  Bon-Boulash joins the ranks of prominent vegan drag queens such as RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Courtney Act from season six, and outspoken animal activist Honey LaBronx of New York City, and will be mentored by the series’ longtime judge and vegan Michelle Visage.
