G-Eazy is back with a vengeance.
The Bay Area rapper paid a visit to Power 106’s “L.A. Leakers” where he delivered a fiery freestyle. Over Cam’ron’s “Down and Out,” Young Gerald showed out with his ballistic bars.
“Wild and crazy Gerald is back,” he said before launching into his three-and-a-half-minute rap.
“I swoop hoes from my shows, I just run through the crowd / Have drug-fueled orgies, I’m 10 rubbers down / Livin’ balls to the walls, I ain’t dumbin’ it down / I’m like a white Jimi Hendrix, think my mother is proud.”
He continued to spazz over the Kanye West-produced beat. “Patrick Bateman is my spirit animal / Either him or Hannibal / F k rappers, I hate ’em / Diss me, I ain’t sneakin’ shots to shade ’em / Make me f k around, go Jason Statham.”
G-Eazy returns and he’s brought Chris Brown with him.
After collaborating on tracks like “Wobble Up” and “Drifting,” the Bay Area rapper and R&B kingpin reunite on “Provide,” which samples Mark Morrison’s ’90s classic “Return of the Mack.” On the Hitmaka production, Gerald caters to his lady, while Breezy brings the R&B vibes.
“It’s the return of the mack / R.I.P. to Furl, I promise you ain’t nothin’ like these L.A. girls,” raps G-Eazy. “And we can sip slurricane listenin’ to Earl / Who knew we’d bring the Bay to the world?”
Release date
Though G-Eazy placed a question mark on releasing the new single on February 5, it is highly expected that the track will hit the Internet on the same day. Fans can pre-save the song here.
Concept
The multiple award-winning G-Easy had first teased his new project in January where he took to Instagram to share an uber-cool picture of his alongside rapper Chris Brown. Interestingly, he did not post any caption or hashtag to accompany the picture which further made fans impatient.
