Enemy Mine is a science fiction film on war between humans and aliens called Dracs that debuted in the mid-1980s. David Quaid is featured as human fighter pilot Willis E. Davidge, and Louis Gosset, Jr. as Davidge s nemesis, Drac pilot Jeriba Shigan. Humans hated Dracs and Dracs hated humans. After a dog fight between Davidge and Shigan, their space fighters crash on a planet inhabited by a vicious predator. The harsh reality of being stranded on an inhospitable planet helps Davidge and Shigan forgive each other. The forgiveness enabled Davidge to become guardian of Shigan’s son.
