March 6 (UPI) Tibet s spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, joined other world leaders in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine Saturday.
The 14th and current Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, 85, was given a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine early in the morning at Zonal Hospital, Dharamshala, despite earlier plans to vaccinate him and members of his staff at his residence at McLeodganj, India, Hindustan Times reported.
Advertisement His Holiness said he would take the injection at the place where the common people were being inoculated, Kangara Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Prajapati told the Times. It was his decision. We were arranging to vaccinate him at his home.
Former U.S. Sen. Bob Torricelli served with President Joe Biden for six years in the Senate. He called Biden a friend and said he is glad he is president.
He also said Biden is wrong on what Torricelli believes is a push to quickly reopen the Iran nuclear accords that President Barack Obama’s administration in which Biden was vice president signed, only to have them dismantled by President Donald Trump.
Torricelli feels the sanctions against Iran are working and that they could lead to the ultimate conclusion for the U.S., the fall of the current Iranian regime, if given the chance.
While Biden's $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan” would send cash to millions, much of that windfall may go to pay for higher gasoline and home heating prices.
