A high-profile Israeli security delegation, headed by Mossad Director Yossi Cohen, is arriving in Washington this week to discuss the dangers of restoring the original 2015 Iranian nuclear accord just days after the White House signaled that the Biden administration will not be swayed to change its policy on the deal.
Ahead of the arrival of the delegation of Israeli senior security officials, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki on Friday answered “no” when asked at a press briefing whether the visit was likely to change the US administration’s stance on reviving the nuclear deal, to which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is strongly opposed.

(April 22, 2021 / JNS) South African-born Philip Gomperts had been working for American Associates of Ben-Gurion University (AABGU) of the Negev for several years when he asked a donor if she had any neighbors who might be willing to meet with him.
He knew that personal introductions were better than cold calls, and he wanted to make the most of his time as he was shuttling back and forth between northern and southern California for work.
An international organisation behind a controversial definition of anti-Semitism has misled the public about that definition, according to a new report by the British campaign group Free Speech on Israel, obtained exclusively by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit.
The report, written by Oxford University researcher Jamie Stern-Weiner and set to be officially published on Sunday, shows that statements made by spokespeople and publications of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) have misrepresented the “Working Definition of anti-Semitism” by claiming that it includes a hotly contested list of “examples” of anti-Semitism.
At a May 2016 meeting in Bucharest, the IHRA’s decision-making body, then representing 31 countries, adopted a document that included two separate sections.

In 2009, the United Nations proclaimed International Mother Earth Day on the 22nd of April. This celebration takes place on the day of the spring equinox, a time of the year where the day is as long as the night.
This day aims to raise awareness of the negative effects of human activities on the environment. It invites everyone to think about what each can do to take care of our planet, the Earth. For the second year since its creation, Earth Day events will go digital. This year s theme is Restore our Earth .

Israel and Bahrain on Thursday reached a trailblazing agreement to mutually recognize each other’s vaccinations and the so-called Green Pass given to those fully inoculated or recovered, following the successful immunization drives in both nations.
The deal was negotiated between Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif al-Zayani during talks in recent weeks.
Vaccinated individuals from both nations will be exempt from quarantine upon arrival to either country and will be able to enter areas that require a Green Pass.
“The unprecedented deal between Israel and Bahrain demonstrates the historical change that has occurred in the Middle East in recent months,” Ashkenazi said, predicting that “in the coming days” Israel will reach similar agreements with additional countries.
