(May 11, 2021 / Israel21C) In the wake of a barrage of 250 missiles launched from Gaza into Israel, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin invited citizens from the Gaza “envelope” (periphery) area and greater southern Israel to his official Jerusalem residence, Beit Hanasi.
“Dear families, groups of children and adults from the Gaza envelope and the areas under missile attack, you are invited to the President’s House to enjoy the educational and experiential tours of the visitor center. The President’s House will provide extra tours to help relieve your tension and give respite for residents of the south until life returns

Palestinian terror groups fire massive barrages of long-range rockets at central Israel, triggering sirens in Tel Aviv and throughout its suburbs.
The rockets are fired in multiple waves. Residents of the area report hearing the sounds of explosions, an indicator that the Iron Dome missile defense system has been used to shoot down some of the incoming projectiles.
The Israel Defense Forces’ Home Front Command instructs all residents of central and southern Israel to enter bomb shelters and remain there for at least 10 minutes. I m proud to work at The Times of Israel
