LAHORE: UK Pakistan Business Council Chairman and former ambassador of Pakistan Javed Malik has welcomed the introduction of Roshan Digital Accounts by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).While appreciating the move of SBP, he said that it could pave the way for investment into Pakistan by the Overseas Pakistani business community as it allows greater flexibility and transparency to invest as well as repatriate investments, says a press release.

PESHAWAR: Security forces have arrested four terrorists, including the commander of a banned outfit, who were reportedly planning a major terror attack in Peshawar on December 25, which is Christmas Day and Quaid-i-Azam Day.
The arrests were made from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district.
In a raid at a house in Sipah Thursday night, security forces and police arrested the four terrorists, one of whom was identified as Zakir Afridi, a commander of Lashkar-e-Islam.

Security forces arrested a key commander and four others of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Islam in a raid in Peshawar on Friday.
The security forces and police raided a home located in an area falling under the jurisdiction of the Bara police station in Sipah, arresting Zakir Afridi and his four associates.
The terrorists had planned a major terror attack in Peshawar on December 25.
As per the security sources, three suicide jackets and six improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered from the terrorists.

RAWALPINDI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday claimed to have arrested three members of a banned outfit who were allegedly planning to target Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) and had earlier been involved in four of the five terrorist attacks in the garrison city since Jan 2020.
A spokesman for the CTD Punjab in a press release said the terrorists were planning to carry out a bomb blast at the ISE.
However, the CTD did not disclose the whereabouts of the suspects arrested a day after the fifth terrorist attack in Rawalpindi on Sunday.
The spokesman said on Dec 4 at about 1pm a bomb blast ripped through Usman General Store near Crystal Line Bus Stand at Pirwadhai, damaging the shop. A man identified as Afzal Khan lost his life and seven other people were injured, one of them still in a critical condition. A rickshaw parked in front of the store was also damaged. This was the fourth blast in the city since Jan 2020.
