Do you know which country is shouting the loudest about the Muslims? It’s our neighbour Pakistan. And Turkey under expansionist Erdogan comes the close second, predictably. The reasons, though numerous, are not hard to find.
After 1947 partition, Pakistan inherited the best irrigated land of the Indian subcontinent. Lahore was progressive and in many ways more developed than its Indian counterpart Mumbai. But like a profligate son squandering away all the inherited riches, Pakistan squandered away everything to become a failed state within mere seven decades of its existence. Pakistan’s unbridled pursuit of Islamism had brought it to such a pass.
