The Iranian Armed Forces have denounced recent contradictory reports of maritime incidents and hijacking in the Sea of Oman as a Western “psychological warfare” meant to set the ground for new adventurism.
Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesman of the Armed Forces, made the remarks on Tuesday, after Reuters claimed that “Iran-backed forces” were believed to have seized an oil tanker off the coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Citing maritime security sources, the report identified the seized vessel as the Panama-flagged asphalt/bitumen tanker Asphalt Princess.

Baghdad, July 30 : Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi said that his recent visit to Washington helped establish Iraq s permanent relationship with the US in various fields.
Al-Kadhimi s comment on Thursday came after his visit to Washington, during which he held meetings with US President Joe Biden and other officials, according to a statement issued by his media office.
The Prime Minister said his visit helped establish the foundations of the permanent relationship and partnership with the US in various fields, the most important of which are security, economy, health, education, culture, energy, environment, investment and other aspects of constructive cooperation , reports Xinhua news agency.

A high-ranking Iranian diplomat reflects on a warning recently issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei about the West’s intention to use the 2015 nuclear deal to enable interference in the country’s affairs.
Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s permanent ambassador to Vienna-based international organizations, made the remarks in an interview published on Ayatollah Khamenei’s official website, Khamenei.ir, on Wednesday.
He referred to the warning issued by Ayatollah Khamenei on Wednesday, during the Leader’s last meeting with the outgoing Iranian administration’s officials.
