Ecuador closes week of expectations over general elections
Quito, Feb 6 (Prensa Latina) Ecuador closes a busy week on the final days of the electoral campaign ahead of the general elections scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, which generate expectations inside and outside the national territory.
Until midnight Thursday, the 16 presidential tickets and candidates to the National Assembly and the Andean Parliament toured the streets of several cities in search of consolidating the vote of their followers and convincing the undecided, which according to studies exceed 30 percent.
According to recent polls, there are three favorite among the 16 presidential hopefuls to replace outgoing president Lenin Moreno: Andres Arauz who is supported by former president Rafael Correa, environmentalist Yaku Perez, from indigenous origin, and representing the right-wing Guillermo Lasso.
