A new batch of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine consisting of 511,290 doses will arrive in Romania on Monday by air at the airports in Otopeni, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, according to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV).
Shipment to the storage centres is provided by the manufacturing company, including by land, with the vaccines doses being transported under optimal safety conditions, in special containers, with carbonic ice and sealed foil.
Thus, the vaccination process continues both in the centres in Bucharest and elsewhere in the country, with the doses being distributed as follows:
Bucharest National Storage Centre - 187,200 doses;

As many as 26,210 doses of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine will be distributed in Romania on Wednesday to the regional centres nationwide for the immunisation with the first dose of persons appointed for vaccination via the appointment scheduling platform, according to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV), as reported by AGERPRES.
According to CNCAV, the vaccine doses will be flown on an aircraft of the Interior Ministry or driven in vehicles of the Ministry of National Defence. The vaccines are shipped under the best safety conditions by respecting the cold chain requirement, at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius, CNCAV points out.

A fifth batch of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine consisting of 87,750 doses, is expected today in Romania by air at the airports of Otopeni, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, according to AGERPRES.
According to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee, transport to storage centres is provided by the manufacturing company, including by land.
Vaccines are transported safely in special containers with carbonic ice and sealed foil.
