Addressing journalists at Naguru police headquarters this morning, Norman Musinga, the Kampala Metropolitan Traffic Police Commander said most of the roads heading to Kololo Independence Grounds will be out of bounds for motorists without authorized stickers.
The section of Acacia Avenue stretching from John Babiha Road to the Golf Course will be out of bounds for any vehicle without a sticker and all boda boda riders.
All truck drivers have been advised to use alternative routes.
Invited Members of Parliament-elect are advised to park their vehicles at parliament from where designated buses will pick them and transport them to the venue.

With a few days left to end the holy month of Ramadan, MTN Uganda and Salam Foundation have carried on with delivering support towards the groups of Muslim communities that have been at the forefront of fighting Covid-19. This is their way of thanking them for their tremendous efforts and to offer them some relief as they observe their month-long fasting period.
While presenting the final accountability report from his ministry for the last five years, the NRM gov’t has been in power, Gen. Odongo noted that human trafficking is a continuing global challenge and so far, 2019 court cases have been litigated for which 59 suspects have been convicted.
The Uganda Police Force annual crime report indicated a steady increase of trafficking in persons with 177 cases being registered in 2017 as compared to 125 cases in 2016, indicating a 41.6 percent increase.
A total of 214 cases were registered in 2020 lower than the 252 cases registered in 2019, giving a decrease of 15.1%.
