Obituary: Carolyn Wrubel Magram, 78, of North Haven

Reply (Image via Shutterstock) NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From Doolittle Funeral Home) Carolyn Wrubel Magram died peacefully on February 18, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. A resident of North Haven, CT. Carolyn was 78 years old and fought renal failure for many years. Born and brought up in Middletown, CT she was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1960. Carolyn graduated from the UConn School of Nursing in 1964 and went on to attain a Masters of Education from Columbia University and became a member of the Columbia University Faculty of Medicine for several years. Returning to Connecticut, Carolyn became the Director of Nursing at Elmcrest Psychiatric Institute in Portland, CT. Later she became a Senior Health Program Specialist on the Connecticut Commission on Hospitals and Healthcare. At Duncaster Retirement Community in Bloomfield, CT Carolyn became Director of Inpatient Services for several years.
