NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From Doolittle Funeral Home) Carolyn Wrubel Magram died peacefully on February 18, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. A resident of North Haven, CT. Carolyn was 78 years old and fought renal failure for many years.
Born and brought up in Middletown, CT she was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1960. Carolyn graduated from the UConn School of Nursing in 1964 and went on to attain a Masters of Education from Columbia University and became a member of the Columbia University Faculty of Medicine for several years.
Returning to Connecticut, Carolyn became the Director of Nursing at Elmcrest Psychiatric Institute in Portland, CT. Later she became a Senior Health Program Specialist on the Connecticut Commission on Hospitals and Healthcare. At Duncaster Retirement Community in Bloomfield, CT Carolyn became Director of Inpatient Services for several years.

Older adults are managing the stress of the coronavirus pandemic better than younger adults, reporting less depression and anxiety despite also experiencing greater general concern about COVID-19, according to a study recently published by researchers at the UConn School of Nursing.
