Survey: Belarus president approval rating at 66.5%
MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Belarus president approval rating stands at 66.5%, the head of the analytical center EcooM Sergei Musiyenko told media while commenting on the results of the sociological study Social Thinking conducted in the run-up to the Belarusian People s Congress, BelTA has learned.
The president approval rating, according to this large poll, stands at 66.5%. It was 74.2% in the telephone survey which preceded the survey,” Sergei Musiyenko noted. “Army has the highest approval rating - 69.2%, churches - 66.8%, the government - 57%, law enforcement - 51.9%. According to Sergei Musiyenko, as a rule, these figures are lower, after big political campaigns.
The majority of respondents, 64.9%, believe that the economic situation in the country has deteriorated. The deterioration of their own financial situation was stated by 50.6% of the respondents.
Poll: 72.4% of Belarusians do not support protests

“The majority of respondents, 72.4%, do not support the protests taking place in the country, and 15.4% of those surveyed expressed support for protest actions. In addition, 75.9% responded that the protests have a negative impact on the quality of life. It is, in principle, objective and understandable, because in autumn people tried not to take their children to out-of-school activity centers or to visit the center of cities,” Sergei Musiyenko said.
