Turkish Support For Ukraine, Including Arms Sales, Tests Russia s Forbearance Towards Ankara April 26, 2021 Although Russia and Turkey have backed opposite sides in Syria and Libya and Turkey played an important role in Azerbaijan s victory over Armenia and had turned the Hagia Sophia church from a museum to a mosque, the Russian leadership was able to swallow it.
