AMMAN His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Wednesday attended the second round of the Arab Intelligence Forum, hosted by the General Intelligence Department (GID) in Aqaba, with the participation of HRH Crown Prince Hussein.
Welcoming the heads and representatives of Arab intelligence services via teleconference, King Abdullah underscored the importance of the forum as a framework for institutionalising joint Arab action and as a step to bolster Arab intelligence cooperation, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty emphasised the need to counter the threats facing the Arab world, especially terrorism and extremism, stressing the need to address global crises and developments, as well as the social, economic, and security implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.
