Time magazine names President-elect Joe Biden, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as Person of the Year Jordan Culver, USA TODAY UP NEXT
President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were collectively chosen as Time s 2020 Person of the Year on Thursday night.
The honor was announced by Bruce Springsteen during an hourlong TV special on NBC.
Biden was elected the 46th president of the United States in November, defeating incumbent Donald Trump after an especially contentious election season. He served as vice president under Barack Obama, Trump s predecessor.
A key part of Biden s platform was reuniting a divided nation. Four years from now, Biden told Time he hopes people say, That America was better off and average Americans are better off the day we left than the day we arrived. That’s my objective.”

Ricciardi has expanded her stocking-stuffing to a new business, Cheeky Marie, where she stuffs and sends gift boxes focused on inspiring women to young girls all over the world. The Epping resident and Stratham Memorial School teacher is educating a whole new group of girls, most of which she will never meet, and she s having fun doing it.
