Foam firm takes long-vacant Garland manufacturing plant Steve Brown, The Dallas Morning News
The white-hot demand for North Texas industrial space is giving new life to a long-vacant Garland manufacturing plant.
The 341,840-square-foot building at 3000 W. Kingsley Road has been empty since 2015, when Apex Tool Group shut down its Garland operations and moved the more than 260 jobs to South Carolina.
Now Future Foam Inc. with help from the city will reboot the old building to create an operation with more than 100 jobs.
Iowa-based Future Foam manufactures polyurethane foam products, including cushions used in furniture, carpet pads, and medical and recycled products.
