On Wednesday, the Summit County Prosecutor s Office announced the sentencing of 52-year-old Hedy Moss for the shooting of two men in Akron, which claimed the life of one.
Moss was sentenced by Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Kelly McLaughlin to life in prison for the 2018 murder of Ernest Sherman.
The incident happened on Jan. 16, 2018, when Moss was in a home occupied by Sherman and James McMullen, and the three began arguing over a gun, which was allegedly stolen. Moss then shot the two men during the dispute.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Wayne Doye, the man who âbrutally beatâ his girlfriendâs 7-year-old son in Summit County in April 1987, is up for parole.
Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh said the hearing in front of the Ohio Parole Board is slated for Feb. 17, and her office âstrongly opposes Doyleâs release from prison.â
Walsh said Charlieâs injuries âwere so severe that a part of his intestine ruptured. He also had several broken bones. Charlie endured tremendous pain and suffering and died nearly 20 hours after the initial assault.â
