Akron woman charged with domestic violence in connection with man’s death

The 61-year-old victim’s name has not been publicly released, pending family notifications.
Police responded around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to a call about a medical emergency at a home on the 200 block of East Lods Street in Akron’s Cascade Valley neighborhood, according to a police report.
Paramedics brought the man to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he died. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released his cause of death.
Officers at the scene found Wendi Clark, 50, who reported having an “altercation” with the victim, according to a police report. Clark interfered with paramedics and officers “several times” as they administered first-aid, police said.

The victims of a fatal crash Sunday afternoon in Shalersville have been identified as two Ravenna students and a woman from Streetsboro. The three were killed after a pickup truck carrying eight people crashed on Peck Road.
Marlana J. Mullin, 22; and Christine Shead and Evey Montecalvo, both 12, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Brandon Krotzer, 15, of Ravenna, was taken to Akron Children s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Garret Shead and Austin Shead, both 14 and from Ravenna, were taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center for serious injuries. Matthieu Glass, 19, of Ravenna, was taken to UH Portage Medical Center for minor injuries.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Akron police arrested 50-year-old Wendi Clark in connection with the sudden death of a 61-year-old man found unresponsive by EMS early Sunday morning.
According to Akron police, there was a fight at a residence in the 200 block of East Lods Street around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
EMS arrived on scene before police and treated the 61-year-old man, who was eventually taken to the hospital and pronounced dead hours later.
