TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Oral Roberts basketball star Max Abmas has declared for the NBA draft but has not hired an agent, making him eligible to return to school if he withdraws.
Abmas made the announcement on Twitter.
Abmas led the nation with 24.5 points per game last season and led the 15th-seeded Golden Eagles to the Sweet 16. The 6-foot-1 guard made a splash during the NCAA Tournament when he scored 29 points in a first-round upset of No. 2-seed Ohio State. He followed that by scoring 26 points in a win over No. 7 seed Florida and 25 in a loss to Arkansas.

BROOKINGS – South Dakota State basketball players Myah Selland and Matt Dentlinger have been named to their respective Academic All-District 6 teams by CoSIDA, the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Selland, a junior from Letcher, has a 3.97 grade point average in exercise science and community and public health. She led the Summit League in scoring at 19.2 points per game and was named Summit League Player of the Year.
Dentlinger, a senior from Arcadia, Iowa, receives this honor for the second straight season. All through his time at SDSU, Dentlinger has maintained a 4.0 GPA as a mechanical engineering major. Dentlinger shot 63 percent from the floor this past season while averaging 10.2 points per game.
We’ve arrived at the summit of awards season here at Mid-Major Madness.
We’ve relived our game of the year, doled out individual awards and handed out our second and third all-MMM teams. That leaves just one piece of business: the first team. As you might expect, some of these names will already have been touched on and, it bears repeating, just because some players on this list qualified by virtue of playing in a mid-major league, it does not mean their team is a mid-major.
Here’s who we think were the cream of the crop in hopefully the only pandemic-affected season we see in our lifetime:
