The number of active COVID-19 cases in Lubbock County is at 3,812 after 281 new cases were confirmed as of 4 p.m. Wednesday. The total COVID-19 case count in Lubbock County reached 37,786, according to a City of Lubbock news release. The total number of virus recoveries in the county reached 33,489 after 287 new recoveries were reported, according to the news release. With 11 additional COVID-19-related deaths being confirmed, the total death count in the county reached 485. Regarding Texas Governor Greg Abbott s Executive Order 31 and 32, TSA B will face restrictions to business capacity until the area has seen seven consecutive days where the COVID-19 hospitalization rate remains at or is below 15 percent, according to the news release.

CMC says it remains prepared to meet health needs amid ongoing health crisis

Dec 10, 2020 Cumberland Medical Center says it is prepared to meet the health care needs of the community — both for treatment of COVID-19 and for other conditions that need hospital care. “We remain prepared to meet the medical needs of the community and have the ability to collaborate with other Covenant Health hospitals if additional services are needed,” David Bunch, CMC chief administrative officer, told the Chronicle this week.  “Cumberland Medical Center is open as usual to provide safe care for our patients and continues to take extra precautions to keep patients, employees and visitors safe in all of our care settings,” he added.
