Brentnol McPherson (aka Guyanese drummer Bonny Brent) died earlier this year. To celebrate his life as a musician, family and friends gave him a legendary sendoff, posing his body behind a drum kit while music played at his funeral service.

Late Guyana-born, Ontario-based drummer Brentnol McPherson is making headlines for manning the kit at his own funeral, following his passing earlier this month.
Videos of McPherson s creative, personalized funeral arrangement have circulated online after being shared by Scarborough s Covenant Funeral Home. The musician s last performance finds him posed behind a sapphire blue drum set, surrounded by elaborate floral arrangements. Reunited with his dad the late greats Tom Charles, Pamela Maynard, Dennis Brown and the many artists gone before him, Covenant Funeral Homes shared on Facebook. This was truly an honor! THANK YOU BONNY..WE SAID WE NEEDED TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT JESUS... WITHOUT HIM, This would still be in my dreams..I know you are happy!!!

A GRIEVING family have propped up the body of a dead man behind his drum set in a bizarre tribute to the late musician.
Sharing their handiwork online, the recently deceased Guyanese drummer, Brentnol McPherson, was placed in the freaky position in order to celebrate his lifelong love of music.

He had been receiving treatment for cancer prior to his death, but was afforded one last performance as family members supplied him with the unusual send off.

Two Propel-owned funeral homes pay penalties for alleged misleading local ownership claims
WT Howard Funeral Services and Coventry Funeral Homes, trading as Fitzgerald’s Funerals, have each paid $12,600 in penalties after the ACCC issued each of the businesses with an infringement notice for allegedly making a false and misleading representation about their ownership. This coincides with the release of an ACCC survey seeking further information about the experiences of consumers and businesses with the funeral services sector.
WT Howard promoted on its website that it was “proudly local and independently owned” while Coventry represented that “Fitzgeralds Funerals in Townsville North Queensland is locally owned and operated”, when in fact both WT Howard and Fitzgerald’s Funerals are owned by a publicly listed company, Propel Funeral Partners.
