Pricetown and Newton Falls United Methodist churches have just begun a Bible study on the Holy Spirit with the guidance of the Rev. Dewayne Smith. The Bible study gathers weekly at Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard Ohltown Road, 10 a.m. Tuesdays or Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Bring a Bible if you have one. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Police Blotter: Circle K Evicts Man Asleep In Bathroom; Man Baffled That Ex-Girlfriend Was Able To Get On His Phone Account Wednesday, February 17, 2021 Police received a call about a disorder on N. Marks Avenue. A woman said she and her boyfriend recently broke up. The boyfriend was over at her house and she wanted him to leave. The boyfriend gathered his belongings and then vacated the property in a peaceful manner.  An employee of Stardust Spiritual Shoppe, 5012 Hwy 58., called police and said the night before two black females came inside the store. She said while in the store the two shopped as if they were going to buy items.

They formed and signed onto a statement of intent to encourage other leaders and those they serve to step forward as well when it comes to getting their own vaccine. These leaders are from many spiritual paths, faith traditions and religions. In their statement, they pledge to be “committed to compassion and community in Greater San Antonio, determined to do their part in slowing the spread of COVID-19, confident in those that developed the vaccines and that the vaccines are essential in that slowing process, aware that both time and patience are of the essence in this upcoming time

Roy William Veal

Roy William Veal, 71, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2020, at the residence. He was the son of the late William Veal and Ruby Morgan. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Veal. Roy was retired from Whirlpool, with over 28 years of service. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his daughter, Angie Veal; two grandkids: Derek Chavis and Destyni Chavis; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Larry Veal and Gary Veal. He was a great dad, brother and friend. A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. today,, Dec. 23, 2020, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel, with Pastor Gary Higgins officiating.
