LIVE: Ellie Wain sentenced to life over murder of boyfriend Kieran Brown
She stabbed him through the heart as an argument turned violent
Coventry teenager Ellie Wain has been jailed for life over the murder of her boyfriend Kieran Brown.
A jury found 18-year-old guilty of murdering her boyfriend Kieran Brown in June last year when an argument turned violent in the street.
Wain, who had armed herself with a kitchen knife, stabbed Kieran, also 18, several times, including a wound which pierced his heart, on Middle Ride, Willenhall, on June 1.
Kieran s dad, who had been called to the scene by his son, took the youngster to hospital but Kieran died of his injuries.
Professor Chris Whitty, England s chief medical officer, said it was the working assumption that the vaccine would work against the new variant.
He told the news conference: I think this is a situation which is going to make things a lot worse. (But) there are some really optimistic things - assuming the vaccine works against this, which I think at the moment is the working assumption.
