MONROE, La. Louisiana Congressman-elect Luke Letlow, who recently died from Covid-19 complications, was remembered Saturday as a man who loved people and felt called to serve others.
“This is a gentleman who cared about nothing but others,” said former Republican U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham, who hired Letlow as chief of staff during his tenure in Washington and later backed Letlow’s bid for Congress. “He was a true servant’s servant. We never want to forget what he’s done for our state, what he’s done for me and my family.”

Emma earned the designation by introducing underprivileged youth to the principles and elements of art by creating a curriculum called ARTreach. Emma s curriculum included lessons detailing different types of art along with projects to be completed and the supplies needed to do so. She distributed her lessons and resources to six after school programs and taught over 60 children during pilot sessions over Zoom. To further her impacts, she created a website where the curriculum information and instruction are available for free to the public.

When work starts in April of 2021 on putting a new roof on the chapel and repaving the parking lot the first part of a $10 million capital campaign that work will be done around the myriad community groups that use the chapel.
