The 2021 NFL Draft  finally concluded over the weekend. I wanted to wait until the smoke cleared to comment on it. The Detroit Lions in their first draft with the new regime did pretty well. The Lions first-year GM Brad Holmes captained the ship. He has solid experience with his tenure in Los Angeles with the Rams, and his scouting proved to be very beneficial. Don’t kid yourself, the Lions had a ton of needs. But they did address most of them. Lions First Round Pick In the first round, they drafted the best O-lineman in the draft: Oregon’s OT Penei Sewell. He’s big, mean and nasty. He will be a solid addition and starter right away.
